A private investor has acquired a nearly 140,000-square-foot office building in Piscataway, NJ. Its new owner has hired Marner Architecture and Haas Construction to renovate the building, with plans calling for lobby and common area renovations and the addition of a conference center, café and fitness center.

An ambitious project which will allow for the expansion and renovation of the Variety Boys and Girls Club on 21st st in Astoria has been proposed. New renderings have been unveiled for the 14-story mixed-use building proposed at 21-12 30th Road, in Queens.

National Law Firm Takes 170,000 SF Lease
The new Lowenstein offices will have interiors custom designed by Manhattan-based Marner & Associates, which will create a fully branded building within a building. Features include a tree-lined “boulevard” dubbed Lowenstein Way, leading to Lowenstein’s own private, grand entryway. Lowenstein will occupy the entire third floor as well as its own vertical townhouse.

Ivy Leaguers Soon To Dine Al Fresco at Harvard Club
On June 12, the Harvard Club of New York will celebrate the 120th anniversary of the opening of the club’s original building at 27 West 44th Street. The 150-year-old club is really hoping the rooftop construction will be done sooner and it can open by the middle of May, said Larry Marner of Marner Architecture, the chair of the club’s house committee, which oversaw the renovations.

LIM College – Maxwell Hall Student Center was designed by Marner Architecture, A center to unify the 4 different building of the urban campus. The new lounge offers the college a distinct street presence at their 45th street campus. The loft-like space includes a coffee shop, bookstore, and various meeting and study spaces. The stair connects the new ground floor space to some of the college’s classrooms, IT help desk, and the library. A new graduate programs center is connected by an elevator to the upper floors.

LIM College for Business of Fashion
Colleges in Manhattan boast New York City–as-campus, but with increased enrollment and new program interests, LIM College devoted to the business of fashion sought to realize a specific gathering place. To design this keystone of LIM College’s student community the architects had to capture the intimacy of small-scale meeting and studying areas without compromising the expansiveness of the large double-height space at Maxwell Hall.
